 about

Artfront galleries is a neighborhood restoration project, supporting the health and vitality of a city’s neighborhoods by creating temporary pop up galleries in vacant storefronts and retail space.

Our efforts are to help our neighborhoods, make areas safer, and market real estate. We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty, clean up vacant locations, paint walls and help turn sad half-empty blocks into an up and coming area in town!

We would like to partner with community-minded property owners and developers, neighborhood associations, non-profits, and city agencies to match local artists and creatives with the resources and opportunities represented by vacant properties.

ArtFront galleries seeks donated space or will rent storefront space from neighborhood property owner for a nominal rate for one month (30 days), and will fill these spaces with pop up galleries, art installations, and other artistic ventures. These projects are proposed by artists throughout the area, and are chosen by a panel that includes neighborhood representatives, art professionals, and non-profit organizations.

"We’re  strong believers that art is an undeniable resource in the efforts to revitalize a community!"

Art presence in our neighborhoods directly, and undoubtedly increases foot traffic, safety, property values, and occupancy rates in the hosting neighborhoods. Our goal is to make community improvements large or small through our love of art.

Once an ArtFront gallery is established, the gallery operates for 30 days at almost no cost to the property owners themselves. We fund the liability insurance, the upkeep, staff and the marketing for the spaces. A portion of the proceeds (20%) from Artfront gallery sales will go to local non-profits partnered with our efforts.

This is a win-win for all....artists are giving a space to showcase work, the non-profit we donate to can use the gallery as a platform to reach out to the community and educate them about their efforts, and the property owners have some exposure and able to market their location to potential businesses owners. Not to mention shedding a new light and vision to the community where a vacant store once stood.
